A plasterer from Cheltenham taught himself to ski and became Britains first and only olympic ski jumper. “Eddie The Eagle” Edwards came last at Calgary but soared higher than the rest in terms of popularity with his great courage and olympian spirit. Afterwards Eddie blossomed as a stunt skier and after dinner speaker before a kick turn took him onto a law degree course and a transformation into “Eddie The Legal Eagle”. The next part of the saga is a hoped for film in which Eddie hopes to be played by either Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise as they are almost as good looking as him. Fly Eddie Fly
